i know i blog a lot about this band but there's good reason. last night radiohead webcasted from their oxford studios and it has all been committed to internet tape and put on youtube and various other places.
the band looked like they were having great fun, playing live songs, covers, dj sets, drawing, running up hills, doing dramatic readings and generally messing about. some of it was very funny, some of it was nonesense and some of it was brilliant.
last night confirmed the fact that they are the most innovative, interesting band in the world because i can't think of any other band who would do everything they've done in the past month, and all without a record label or big PR company. its a phrase which gets used a lot, but they are genuinely 'changing the music business'....or at least creating one of their own.
check it out and i promise i'll shut up about them now.
Alison Benjamin thinks this is the most terrifying video you will ever see. It's a very simplified version of an incredibly complex argument, but most people don't have the time to even begin to read about it all. This video neatly condenses the issues into a chart with smiley faces.
